My name is Kirsty Harrison, it is lovely to meet you! Above is a picture of myself and my four-legged friend Bruno. I Live in Kinross, Perth WA and I have set up Kirsty's Kindred Kanines as a qualified member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and as a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. I have over 5 years experience in the animal industry as a qualified vet nurse, and now as a fear-free accredited dog trainer. I work closely with a large vet corporation in perth providing group classes to puppies and their caregivers and I have a passion for helping caregivers connect and communicate with their animals and man's best friend in particular - Dogs. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend !
Through my study, experience and extensive research on the emotional states, body language and behavioural issues in our companion dogs, I strongly believe with scientific evidence that teaching your dog what to do and how to respond in a situation, provides long lasting behaviour changes a stronger human canine bond and ensures and protects the emotional welfare of our canines. I use reward based training only and focus on teaching rather than punishing, suppressing or reprimanding behaviour. As after all how is the dog supposed to know what they are supposed to do if we haven't taught them first ! I don't train your dog for you I give you the tools and guidance for you and your dog to build on behaviours and give you one to one help to deal with problem behaviours when they occur and help you to become the best team you can be !
